Photos that provoke questions in Long Branch

“Broken Promise” “Broken Promise” A n exhibit of images by Joan B. Myers, award-winning photographer and Long Branch native, is currently at the North Beach Grille in North Long Branch.

The show will be on view through Feb. 29.

One of the featured images, titled “Broken Promise.” is a photograph of Life Saving Station No. 5 at the site of the former Takanassee Beach Club in Elberon. Myers asks, “Why is it that a life-saving station can save many lives and yet no one can save this historic landmark?”

Myers is known for images that combine fine art and photojournalism. Two photographs from her essay on “The Decline of Fort Hancock” are also on display.

North Beach Grille is located at 49 Atlantic Ave.
