TRWRA direct-debit bill paying marks eight years MONMOUTH BEACH — The Two Rivers Water Reclamation Authority became the first sewerage authority in the state of New Jersey to offer customers automatic direct debit for paying sewer bills eight years ago, according to a press release from the TRWRA. Since then, more than 1,000 people have taken advantage of this convenient way to pay their sewer bills. According to the authority, this method is not only easier for the ratepayer and guarantees timely payment, it also saves the sewerage authority money by eliminating manual processing of paper checks. To sign up for automatic direct debit (Easy Pay), customers should log on to the authority’s website, www.TRWRA.org, click on “PAYMENT” at the top of the home page, then click on “Automatically Debit Your Checking Account.” Customers may also call the authority at the number below. The authority continues to offer other free options to make payments, including mailing or delivering a paper check or paying the bill through residents’ personal bank websites. In addition, the authority now offers online bill payment through the website for a small fee. For information on these options, visit http://www.TRWRA.org or call the Billing Department at 732-229-8578, ext. 18. |
