‘Landscapes/Seascapes/Local Scenes’

The Guild of Creative Art will host an opening reception for “Landscapes/Seascapes/Local Scenes” on Sunday, July 11,,3-5 p.m. This exhibit includes a variety of mixed media artwork by many members of the guild.

Vicky Culver photo collage “Belmar” Vicky Culver photo collage “Belmar” The exhibit, which will end on July 28, includes paintings created en plein air in oil, pastel and acrylic, and in addition, watercolor, sculpture, photography and photo collage will be represented.

The Guild of Creative Art is located at 620 Broad St., Shrewsbury. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 1-4 p.m.

The guild was founded in 1960 by watercoloristYvonneAubert and a group of artists who banded together to form an arts cooperative offering exhibition space, a studio for classes and a communal meeting area.

The Guild offers a wide diversity of classes for adults, teens and children as well as hosting monthly exhibits in its gallery.
