     Noel Brock of Toms River crossed the finish line first for the fourth straight year in the women’s division, and Kenyan runner James Gathoga won the men’s division on Saturday at the 17th annual George Sheehan Classic in Red Bank.

     Long Branch’s Miles Shuler-Foster and Raritan’s Bennett Jackson proved themselves on the biggest stage in New Jersey. Earlier this month the two speedsters, who were rivals during the season, captured NJSIAA Meet of Champions (MOC) titles at Frank Jost Field in South Plainfield.

AVP beach volleyball coming to Jersey Shore
For Belmar Open
     The best professional beach volleyball players are coming to Belmar Beach and the Jersey Shore this weekend. The Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) Nivea Tour’s Belmar Open will run Friday through Sunday at Fifth Avenue and Ocean Avenue, Belmar. Belmar has historically been one of the pros’ favorite stops on the East Coast.
