Mr. Thompson, 52, of Barnegat, died June 11, 2010, at Barnegat Health and Rehabilitation, Barnegat. He was predeceased by his son, Army Pfc. Nils Thompson, who lost his life in the Iraq War on Aug. 3, 2005. Surviving are his parents, Clifford F. and Mary Elizabeth Thompson; a daughter, Lillian Thompson of Confluence, Pa.; his brothers and sisters, Jody Lancaster and her husband, Bill, of Middletown, Tammy Joyce of Westfield, Walter Jacobsen and his companion, Lillian Davies, of Hazlet, Eric Jacobsen and his wife, Hyacinth, of Keyport, Keith Jacobsen of Staten Island, N.Y., Amy Thompson of Little Silver, and Sally Thompson of Little Silver; and four nieces. Services were held at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery, Staten Island.
