Art Hits the Streets in Long Branch June 26
Untitled by David Carroll
LONG BRANCH — A group of dynamic artists and musicians has been working to transform the block between Second Avenue and Liberty Street into a destination attraction, and they will provide a glimpse of what’s to come this weekend when Art Hits the Streets.
It all takes place 1-5 p.m. Saturday, June 26, when Imagine Long Branch members will gather in the lot adjacent to the former Siperstein’s Paints at 140-150 Broadway.
During the free event, a diverse and eclectic group of visual artists, music makers, writers, photographers and others will join to celebrate the arts in Long Branch. There will be live music, as well as live on-the-scene painting, and other demonstrations of their creativity.
There will be activities for the children, too, along with the opportunity to meet the artists and talk about how each individual can get involved in fostering the arts in Long Branch through their own art or music or events like “Second Saturdays” and organizations like the Long Branch Arts and Business Coalition.

Later that evening an opening reception for a group art show, “Evolve,” will be hosted by Inspired Life Studios, 560 Broadway, second floor, formerly Inspired Living. Between 7 and 10 p.m. there will be live music and refreshments to introduce art created by artists David Carroll and Erika Rainey.
