St. James Church extends thanks for holiday support

On behalf of St. James’ Church, I would like to extend my sincere thanks for the generous community support of the seventh annual Community Christmas Dinner.

With the help of donations, we were able to feed over 300 needy folks on Christmas Day from within the Long Branch community. Our guests enjoyed a traditional dinner with all the fixings, in a festive setting, and each received warm gloves, hats and candy canes. Over 60 volunteers from around Long Branch and the surrounding towns joined in to help serve and deliver hot meals to our guests.

During the year, St. James’ serves hundreds of families, not only at Christmas but each week at St. Brigid’s Pantry here at the church. Meeting the needs of so many can be overwhelming for one church or organization.

Here at St. James’ we believe that when those in the community band together in pooling their resources, they can make a difference. We thank you for joining with us to make that difference this holiday season, through your donation and support.
