Icon of environmental movement is remembered
     Environmentalists everywhere were saddened to hear that Derrickson W. (Dery) Bennett died last December. He was 79. An icon in the environmental movement, he became the first director of the American Littoral Society in 1968 and retired in 2003.

     Health care reform certainly isn’t easy. But failing to pass a comprehensive overhaul shouldn’t be an option. Right now, more than 45 millionAmericans don’t have health insurance. Given the current recession, that number is likely on the rise. And national health care spending continues to escalate at an alarming rate.
