‘The Immigrants Art Exhibit,” a traveling exhibit of works by immigrant artists, is making a stop in Long Branch at the Shore Institute of the Contemporary Arts.

“The Immigrants Art Exhibit” will run through Feb. 12 at SICA, located on Third Avenue in downtown Long Branch.

According to a press release, the mission of the exhibit is to communicate about the immigrant experience in a unique way.

The exhibit provides an opportunity for immigrant artists to respond artistically “to this time in history in which immigrants are being globally and locally persecuted and deprived of their rights.”

The artists come from a variety of continents and countries, including Ivory Coast, Taiwan, Guatemala and Chile. SICA’s mission is to increase the public’s accessibility, awareness and appreciation of the contemporary arts in central New Jersey. For more information, visit www.sica.org.
