      COAH rules are pushing residents out of N.J.
           We have had a longstanding opposition to the Council on Affordable Housing (COAH) rules, which have impacted many towns and received resistance from residents throughout the state. Many towns in our district are struggling to come to terms with the enormity of complying with their housing requirements.

      Ferraina’s retirement will be loss to Long Branch
           I just finished reading the article about Joseph Ferraina. I must say it was well written. Mr. Ferraina is a truly caring man. He always has the best interest of the students in mind. I had one child graduate from Long Branch High School in 2001. He graduated in the top 10 percent of his class and was National Honor Society treasurer.

      Poison information, education system needs protection
           ‘Never look a gift horse in the mouth,” but that is exactly what the state of New Jersey has recently done by cutting funds to the New Jersey Poison Information and Education System (NJPIES), and potentially forgoing federal funds of over $150,000. The federal funds come with strings attached and cannot be accessed without the state commitment of dollars.
