Mrs. Monteiro, 76, of Oceanport, died Jan. 9, 2010, at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Long Branch. Born in Portugal, she had resided in Long Branch and Ocean before relocating to Oceanport. Mrs. Monteiro was predeceased by her husband, Joaquim Monteiro, in 2008. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jack J. Monteiro of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, and Antonio and Maria Monteiro of Oceanport; a brother and sister, both in Portugal; and two grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Star of the Sea Church of Christ the King Parish, Long Branch. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.
