Cinderella’s Closet hosts Prom Fashion Showcase

Cinderella’s Closet of Monmouth County will host its third annual Prom Fashion Showcase from 7-10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 29, at PNC Reception Center in Holmdel.

Fashions will be provided by Diane and Company of Freehold, Men’s Wearhouse, Tuxedo Court, Manalapan.

The fashion show will feature models from local high schools, including Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, Colts Neck, Holmdel, Jackson, Middletown North, Middletown South, Ranney School in Tinton Falls and St. John Vianney in Holmdel.

The ticket price of $25 includes a light buffet dinner, entertainment and show. All proceeds will benefit Cinderella’s Closet Prom Boutique, an event that will make it possible for students in need to “shop” for their prom attire later this spring.

This year’s event will again include a Project Runway Challenge, featuring the designs of students from Monmouth Regional High School, Manalapan High School and Jackson Memorial High School. Cast your ballot to award the winning designer.

Cinderella’s Closet of Monmouth County is a nonprofit volunteer organization founded by two area teens, Katie Adams of Rumson and Stephanie Tomasetta of Freehold, that collects new and gently used formalwear and accessories suitable for prom. The donated formal attire is provided to underprivileged students in Monmouth County, giving them the opportunity to attend their prom in style without the financial burden.
