Call for entries: ‘Making Marks’

The Art Department at Brookdale Community College Lincroft campus is seeking entries for a drawing competition.

Entries can be dropped off between noon-4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, and Saturday, Jan. 16. Jurors are Brookdale professors Sid Godwin and Daniel Schroll. Fees are $4 for a single submission and $6 for two.

All drawing media are welcome: pencil, graphite, pastel, collage, watercolor, mixed media and other media. This is a drawing exhibition. The jurors are interested in artists’ investigations into drawing processes whether the work is preparatory or exploratory. Works resembling finished paintings will not be accepted.

All works submitted should be ready for hanging. The exhibition will run from Jan. 20-Feb. 12 in the CVA gallery at Brookdale.
