Mr. Sherman, 76, of Ocean Township, died Dec. 29, 2009, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was a teacher and principal at Lillian Drive School, Hazlet, where he was employed 40 years. He was predeceased by a brother, Leon; and a son, Sgt. Alan Sherman of the U.S. Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife, Sarah; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Alana; a daughter-in-law, Dolores; ; a sister, Mildred Myers; a brother, Duddy; and two grandchildren.
