'Taking Woodstock,' Richie Havens at MU
      Monmouth University (MU) will hold a screening of the film "Taking Woodstock," hosted by NPR Radio's Pete Fornatale, 7 p.m. Jan. 27. Fornatale will take an entertaining and at times humorous look at the Woodstock Music and Arts Festival, and read, discuss passages and sign copies of his book, "Back to the Garden: The Story of Woodstock." The film will follow.

Register for Park System's ski trip by Jan. 7
      Monmouth County Park System is offering a cross-country ski/snowshoe getaway March 12-14 to Stump Sprouts Cross-Country Ski Lodge and Center in southern Massachusetts. Registration is due by Jan. 7. The trip departs at noon March 12 from Thompson Park, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft section of Middletown, and returns at approximately 7 p.m. March 14.
