Solomon Schechter Academy renamed

Solomon Schechter Academy of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, Howell, has renamed the school to Jersey Shore Jewish Academy. The change was made in keeping with the national trend of aligning Jewish day schools to reflect the communities they serve. Board President Herbert Birman noted the rising interest from families that identify themselves as belonging to a wide range of streams of Judaism, ranging from Reform to Modern Orthodox.
