Mr. Houschild, 86, of Oceanport, died Sept. 15, 2009, at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Long Branch. He was employed at Bell Laboratories, Holmdel, for 10 years, retiring in 1988. Prior to that, he was an electronics technician at Fort Monmouth for 30 years. Mr. Houschild had resided in West Long Branch before relocating to Oceanport in 1961. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Ann Tomasello Houschild; a son and daughter-in-law, John W. "Bill" and Heidi Houschild III of Tinton Falls; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah A. and William Johnson of Oceanport; and two granddaughters. Entombment was at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport.
