Health care for all is right thing to do
We as a society need to look at health care as a moral issue, the right thing to do.
Decades ago we concluded that educating our children is the right thing to do and as a result we have public schools. We all pay for them, whether or not we have children and no one is going to town hall meetings to demand getting rid of public education.
Decades ago we also decided that caring for the seniors and the poor is the morally right thing to do, and we now have Medicare and Medicaid. We all benefit from these programs because we are better off as a society. Extending medical care to everybody is just the next logical step in our evolution as a moral society. I am hopeful that it will happen this year. It's the right thing to do!
