The Frank Budd Track and Field Meet, a Shore Athletic Club sanctioned meet, will be held July 25 at the Frank Budd Track and Field Oval at Asbury Park High School Stadium.

Age divisions will be seniors 19-36, 37-50 and up and youth ages 6-18.

Senior registration is 9-10 a.m. with the meet at 10 a.m. and a fee of $5 per event/person and $20 per relay team. Youth registration is 11:30 a.m. with meet at 1 p.m. and a fee of $3 per event/person and $12 per relay team.

A golf outing to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Martha's Church, Point Pleasant, will be held July 13 at Woodlake Country Club, Lakewood. The price for individual golfers is $140 and includes greens fees for 18 holes, a light lunch provided by Jersey Mike's Subs, a beverage cart throughout the day and an awards dinner banquet later in the day at St. Martha's Parish Hall. Non-golfers can buy a ticket to the dinner for $35. Registration and the use of the driving range will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at 12:30 p.m. and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The Knights of Columbus 7926 is sponsoring the event. Harry Landy, 17, won the American Harness Drivers Club's 2009 Spring Pacing Series Final with M's EZ Pass Friday, June 5, at the Meadowlands. Landy, a junior at Monroe High School, also captured the Billings Amateur Trot the next afternoon at Freehold Raceway.

According to the American Drivers Harness Club (ADHC) website, Landy has now captured the overall combined points title, awarded to the driver gaining the most series points after competing in the final, combined with total points attained in the 2008 Fall Pacing Series. He is now eligible to represent the ADHC in the annual Tim Fouts Memorial Amateur Driving Championship, traditionally held in September during Little Brown Jug week at the Delaware, Ohio, Fairgrounds.
