Homewatch CareGivers, Old Bridge, is seeking nominees for the "Family Caregiver of the Year" program, with the deadline for submissions on July 27.

Local winners will be announced Sept. 1 and be awarded scholarships to Homewatch CareGivers University, and be able to take courses specific to their loved-ones' needs. The national winner will be announced in October.

The National Family Caregiver of the Year grand-prize winner will be based on the magnitude of care and support provided, personal challenges that were overcome to provide care, health care industry obstacles the patient faced, and the effect the care has had on the individual.
