      Rupert Abbott
            Mr. Abbott, 71, of Long Branch, died June 1, 2009, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Jamaica, he relocated to Long Branch 15 years ago. Mr. Abbott was a parking lot attendant for ShopRite for the past 11 years. He is survived by a sister, Joyce L. Watson of Long Branch; a brother, Cleveland Abbott of Jamaica; and several nieces and nephews.

      Mildred K. Barnett
            Mrs. Barnett, 97, of West Long Branch, died June 5, 2009, at home. She was an elementary school teacher at Holy Trinity School, Long Branch; Holy Innocents School, Neptune; and St. Jerome School, West Long Branch, retiring in the 1970s. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence J. Barnett in 1999; a brother, Paul Kean; and a sister, Mary Guilliams.

      Carmen Vendetti
            Mr. Vendetti, 82, of Newark, and Long Branch, died June 12, 2009, at Monmouth Medical Center Hospice Unit, Long Branch. He was a tractor-trailer driver and shop steward at Tose- Fowler Trucking Company, Bridgeport, Pa., for 45 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Teamsters Local 641. He was an activist for property rights with MTOTSA, Long Branch.

      John Sanoudis
            Mr. Sanoudis, 82, of Aberdeen, died June 13, 2009, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was the corporate secretary at Sentinel Funds Inc., New York City, for 33 years, retiring in 1983. He was a founding member of Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, Holmdel. He was predeceased by a son, George Sanoudis, in 1970; and a son-in-law, Steve Sannino, in 2004.
