The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter will host the Walk to Defeat ALS 11 a.m. April 26 beginning at the amphitheater at beachfront north, Ocean Boulevard and Cooper Avenue, Long Branch. The three-mile walk will proceed along the promenade. Check in is 10 a.m., and the walk 11 a.m.

Before and after the event, there will be activities such as face painting, live music, mascots, refreshments and games. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit ALS Association Greater New York Chapter.
