VNACJ bereavement groups begin Feb. 7
      Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey (VNACJ), 176 Riverside Ave., Red Bank, will hold bereavement support sessions beginning with an adults grieving parents bereavement support group 9:30-11 a.m. Feb. 7 and 21; March 7 and 21; April 18; and May 2.       The Monmouth County Chapter of the American Guild of Organists offers an annual scholarship to Monmouth County residents studying the organ or interested in pursuing a career in church music. Applications are due by May 1. Applicants must be high school seniors or full-time college students.

Competitors sought for SJV cheering event
      St. John Vianney Regional High School (SJV) will hold its 10th annual cheerleading competition Feb. 22 at the school gymnasium, 540A Line Road, Holmdel. Cheerleading and dance teams from elementary schools, high schools, recreation and all-star groups are invited to attend. Spring floor and professional judges will be used. Vendors are also welcome.

      AuPairCare, Red Bank, an au pair placement agency, is teaming up with Build-ABear Workshop in the Share-A-Bear campaign, which invites au pairs to give back to local communities by making a bear and donating it to a local children's charity.

Free activities at local parks in February
      Monmouth County Park System will hold free activities during February, beginning with Wood Days from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 7 at Historic Longstreet Farm, Longstreet Road, Holmdel. Attendees will help Longstreet staff cut wood for the winter.
