Mr. Pappalardo, 86, of Eatontown, died Jan. 10, 2009, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was a horse trainer for 60 years. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sophie Mostovlyan Pappalardo; a daughter and son-inlaw, Patricia and Steven Bardsley of Wall; a brother, Jimmy Pappalardo of Jersey City; and two grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West End section of Long Branch. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.
