Benefit on Jan. 17 to raise funds for child with cancer

Friends of Ocean Township residents Chris and Dana Lee are holding a fundraiser Jan. 17 from 1-5 p.m. at Bar Anticipation in Belmar to raise money to help offset the medical costs for their five-year-old daughter, Tori, who has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Tickets for the benefit cost $25 a person, which includes a buffet, entertainment and happy hour-priced drinks. There will also be a chance auction and a 50/50 raffle.

The money raised from the event will go directly to help the Lees with the medical expenses and lost wages due to their need to care for Tori. Tori was diagnosed in October and for the next 2-3 years she will undergo chemotherapy treatments, among other procedures, in an effort to win her battle against cancer.
