Mrs. Ardia, 80, of Long Branch, died Nov. 25, 2008, at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Long Branch. She was an assistant librarian for the Long Branch School System for 25 years, retiring in 1989. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis P. Ardia, in 1993. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and John DiGiovanni Jr. of Eatontown; a brother, Paul DeCaprio of Berkeley Heights; a sister, Delores Cittadino of Long Branch; and three grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Star of the Sea Church, Long Branch. Interment was at Mount Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.
