      It didn't take the Ocean Township boys soccer team long to prove their mettle this season. After what can only be described as an up-and-down season a year ago, veteran head coach Tom Reilly's squad has been nothing short of dominant this fall, proving that the lessons learned a year ago have produced a championship-caliber team.

      The Red Bank Catholic boys crosscountry team has been on an upward curve in recent seasons. The Caseys continued their progress with a solid seventh-place finish in the Varsity E race at Saturday's Manhattan Invitational held at historic Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y.

      Former University of Maryland basketball standout, and Red Bank native, Tahj Holden has been named the Director of Basketball Operations at Monmouth University. The former Red Bank Regional star was a four-year player for Gary Williams at Maryland, and played in all 36 games in the Terrapins' 2002 NCAA National Championship season.
