Buchwald agency to hold open casting call
      Don Buchwald and Associates, New York, will hold its second annual open casting call for talented children Oct. 4 at the Marriott Lincroft Red Bank, 245 Half Mile Road, Red Bank. Several of last year's casting call picks are currently in major commercials. There is no charge to attend. Actors, singers and dancers are welcome to audition.

      The Molle Management Talent and Model Agency will host and open talent call 4-8 p.m. Oct. 4 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 5 at Music University, 3585 Route 9, Freehold Township (ShopRite Plaza). The agency refers clients ages 5-19 to audition for film, television, commercials, print, musical theater and voiceovers.

JCC actors receive award, nomination
      The Jewish Community Center's (JCC) 2007 production of "The Secret Garden" received two nominations and one win for the Perry Award by the New JerseyAssociation of Community Theatre at an awards ceremony in late September. Actor Kenneth Wasser, West Long Branch, was nominated for outstanding lead actor in a musical for his role as Archibald Craven.
