Drug investigation results in 3 arrests LONG BRANCH — After a month-long investigation, police have arrested a 46-yearold city woman on various drug charges. The Long Branch Police Department Street Crimes Unit executed a warrant on Aug. 8 at an Indiana Avenue apartment and arrested Donna Mason. Mason was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute and intent to distribute within a school zone, according to police reports. Mason was later released on a summons. Also arrested was Donna Dangerfield, 51, of Union Avenue. Further investigation the same night of the arrests led to the arrest of 31-year-old Eric Riley of Rockwell Avenue. Both Dangerfield and Riley face the same charges as Mason, according to police reports. Police seized approximately $1,800 in cash from Riley, 400 decks of heroin combined from Riley and Mason and a 9mm Ruger handgun from Riley's house, according to reports. Long Branch Police Officers Robert Shamrock, Alfred Cistaro, Eric Wettermark, James Perri, Stanley Balmer and Tracey Polk assisted street crimes members Jeffrey Grippaldi and Todd Coleman in the investigation and arrests. Lt. Jason Roebuck and Sgt. Raymond Chaparro Jr. lead the investigation. |
