Central Jersey Blood Center, Shrewsbury, has announced the following local blood drive:

• Aug. 23 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., a Jersey Shore Hogs drive at Harley Davidson, 671 Broadway, Long Branch.

All donors will be entered in a weekly drawing for a $500 gas card. The donation process takes about an hour. Donors must also complete a medical history interview and have a mini-physical (temperature, iron, pulse and blood pressure screening). Interested donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 120 pounds and be in good health. All donors must present signature ID at time of registration.
