Discussions, films slated at Ocean Twp. Library The Ocean Township Branch of the Monmouth County Library, 701 Deal Road, will hold free programs during August beginning with an adult book club discussion of "Little Children" by Tom Perrotta 7 p.m. Aug. 4. Books may be borrowed from the library. "Theatrical Make-Up Techniques for Teens" will be presented by make-up artists 6:30 p.m. Aug. 5. Preregistration is requested. Film screenings will be 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays beginning with "From Here to Eternity" Aug. 6. "Casablanca" will be shown Aug. 13, "On the Beach" Aug. 20, and "The Manchurian Candidate" Aug. 27. "Arachnophobia" will be shown for teens 6:30 p.m. Aug. 19. "The Plot Against America" by Philip Roth will be discussed 10 a.m. Aug. 20. The book is the 2008 One Book New Jersey selection. The discussion will be followed at 11 a.m. by the presentation "The Enchanted Reading Experience," and "Better Book Club Idea Exchange" in which patrons discuss tips, ideas and management techniques. Books may be borrowed from the library. Registration is requested for free reading events. The library will be closed Aug. 30 and 31, and Sept. 1.
