Plans approved for Ilan School expansion project
Construction on all-girl Jewish high school to start this summer

      EATONTOWN - A major renovation project to convert the former Steelman School building located on Broad Street into an all-girl Jewish high school is expected to begin this summer. Applicant Ilan High School Building Association Inc. received unanimous approval from the nine-member Eatontown Planning Board on April 29 for the final site plans for the project.

      MONMOUTH BEACH - A kindergarten class in the borough has donated 1,000 books to local organizations and schools after winning a national sweepstakes sponsored by Scholastic Book Clubs. Classrooms across the country were challenged by Whoopi Goldberg to read 100 books for the chance to win 1,000 books to be donated to local charities of the school's choice.
