DVRT training to begin April 28 in Freehold
      180-Turning LivesAround, Hazlet, will conduct a 40-hour training for domestic violence response team (DVRT) volunteers Mondays-Wednesdays from 6:30-9:30 p.m. April 28-May 22 atMonmouth County Police Academy, Freehold. Volunteers work in conjunction with the police to provide support, information, and referrals to victims of domestic violence at police headquarters.

Wheelchairs available for seniors, disabled
      Senior Wheels USA Program has announced it will offer power wheelchairs to senior citizens and the permanently disabled at no cost if the recipient qualifies. Wheelchairs will be provided to individuals that can no longer walk safely or self-propel a manual wheelchair.

      Flotilla 26, U.S. Coast GuardAuxiliary will offer "America's Boating Course"April 15, 22 and 29 from 7-10 p.m. atMonmouth Beach Cultural Center, 128 OceanAve. Individuals born in 1949 or later must have a boating safety certificate by June 1. Test-out options exams are available all three nights, and cost is $25 per person.
