The Turning Point, Pier Village, 92 Ocean Ave., Long Branch, will hold a fundraiser for The Kortney Rose Foundation, Oceanport, March 14-16. Pam and Kirk Ruoff, restaurant owners, will offer Turning Point gift cards for entrees and other incentives to individuals donating $20 or more to the Foundation for pediatric brain cancer research. "Nineteenth Century Monmouth County Photographers" will be presented by Gary D. Saretzky, Monmouth County archivist, March 19 at 7 p.m. at Long Branch Public Library, 328 Broadway. The free program is co-sponsored by Long Branch Historical Association. Saretzky's slide lecture will feature the leading photographers active inMonmouth County before 1900. TheArt Society ofMonmouth County is exhibiting its anniversary art show through March 28 at West Long Branch Public Library, 95 PoplarAve. Friends of the Library sponsors the show. Afree workshop on alcohol server training for bartenders and owners of alcohol establishments will be April 1 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Magill Commons, Monmouth University, West Long Branch. The workshop will cover strategies to avoid illegally selling alcohol to underage youth or intoxicated patrons, identify fake IDs and how to protect business and liquor licenses.
