      LONG BRANCH - - City police discovered a brothel operating out of a Chelsea Avenue house last week after a man was observed peering into the windows of the residence.       OCEAN TOWNSHIP - - Township police responded to Target Greatland in the Seaview Mall last week after receiving a report of a shoplifting in progress at the store. Police arrested Lionel D. Barksdale, 34, of Long Branch, on Sept. 12 at approximately 1:20 p.m. after Target Loss Prevention reported that he was observed shoplifting, according to police reports. More...

Christopher Cosgrove 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m. in Boylan Gym on the West Long Branch campus.       Eleanor D. Vecchia Mrs. Vecchia, 88, of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, died Sept. 17, 2007, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Red Bank, she resided in Middletown prior to relocating to Oakhurst in 1972. She was a secretary at Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, during WWII.
