Tourney aids Marines
      WEST LONG BRANCH - The Monmouth University Political Science Club will host the Lance Cpl. Christopher Cosgrove 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m. in Boylan Gym on the West Long Branch campus. Cosgrove was a Monmouth alumnus who lost his life serving as a Marine in Iraq in October 2006.

Global Climate Change' talk at temple Oct. 11
      Monmouth Reform Temple, 332 Hance Road, Tinton Falls, will present "Global Climate Change on You and Your Grandchildren," Oct. 11 from 7-9 p.m. Presenters will be Judy Kramer, trained by the Al Gore Climate Project, and science teacher Nancy Polan.

Breeders' Cup FanFest' slated for Oct. 19-21
      Monmouth Park Racetrack, Oceanport, will host the 2007 "Breeders' Cup Fan- Fest" on its grounds Oct. 19-21. The free celebration begins Oct. 19 at 5 p.m. with an opening ceremony leading up to continuous live entertainment all weekend.

      Ocean Grove's Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Fall Harvest Festival and Craft Show Saturday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Main Avenue (rain or shine). The all-day street fair will feature more than 80 arts and crafts vendors.
