Audubon bird walk at Sandy Hook Aug. 16
      The Monmouth County Audubon Society will hold an evening bird walk Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. beginning at the visitor's center at Sandy Hook. Attendees will walk through the dunes to the salt ponds to look for early migrating shorebirds. The free walk will be led by Audubon members. Birds seen regularly on these walks include herons, shorebirds, ospreys and gulls.

Support group meetings slated at rehab hospital
      HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls, 2 Centre Plaza, is offering a variety of support groups open to the community. All programs are free. IAMA auxiliary trip to Atlantic City Aug. 18
      The ladies auxiliary of the Italian American Memorial Association (IAMA) will hold a bus trip to Showboat Casino, Atlantic City, Aug. 18 from 2-11 p.m. The bus will depart the IAMA at 195 West End Ave., Long Branch. Cost is $25 per person, with a $20 coin redemption. No alcoholic beverages will be permitted on the bus.
