      Students dive in to ocean advocacy
      High school students unite to protect the environment
            EATONTOWN - - High school students from throughout the county launched a spin-off of the ocean advocacy group Clean Ocean Action March 23 Student Ocean Advocates (SOA) from six Monmouth County high schools announced events at their schools to promote ocean advocacy and inspire others to make a difference in the environment.

      Students help fight hunger with food drive
            Ocean Township High School students recently collected 510 pounds of food for hunger relief. The high school's Family, Career and Community Leaders of America chapter sponsored a "Food for Food" drive, where students brought in cans of food in return for a snack, juice or bottle of water free of charge.

      LBHS team takes on Euro Challenge
            On March 2 and 9, five Long Branch sophomores and their economics adviser, Noah Lipman, traveled to New York City to compete in the Euro Challenge. The competition, which was held at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, involved 24 select high schools from the tristate area.
