Club encourages manatee adoption for Easter
      Save the Manatee Club, 500 N. Maitland Ave., Maitland, Fla., is encouraging residents to adopt an endangered manatee this Easter. There are 31 manatees to choose from in the club's Florida adoption programs at Blue Spring State Park, Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, and in the Tampa Bay area.

'The Little Mermaid' at Strand and Monmouth U
      Performing Arts Ensemble will present "The Little Mermaid," a music and dance fantasy for the whole family, March 25 at the historic Strand Theatre, Fourth and Clifton avenues in Lakewood.       The Monmouth County SPCA, Eatontown, will hold a casino night/dinner-dance March 31 at 7 p.m. at Manasquan River Golf Club, Brielle. Reservation deadline is March 23. The black tie-optional event will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, dancing, games of chance and an open bar. Tickets are $150 per person All proceeds benefit the MCSPCA Building Fund.

      The Monmouth County Department of Economic Development and Tourism has announced its new tourism magazine, "New Jersey's Monmouth County," is now available. The 66-page magazine highlights the county's attractions such as beaches, shopping centers, theaters, museums, historic sites, lighthouses and parks, as well as cultural and recreational activities.
