      Ocean Township High School (OTHS) teacher Judith Geller is one of only two recipients of the 2007 AP Outstanding Teacher Award in the Middle States. The Middle States Region is made up of New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.

Shore Players to present 'Pirates of Penzance'
      Taking a cue from the Oscars, the Shore Players will roll out the red carpet for the first performance of the musical "Pirates of Penzance" at Shore Regional High School, West, Long Branch. On Friday, the theater company will hold an opening night premiere, complete with red carpet, searchlights, photographers and refreshments.

High school redesign to bring students up to par

      There are three Tinton Falls seats available on the Tinton Falls Board of Education, but only two candidates. In addition, there is one Shrewsbury Township seat open. Incumbent Sandra Lopez of Neville Street is seeking to retain her seat representing Tinton Falls, and Kenneth Hager of Orla Court is running for the first time, also from Tinton Falls.
