      Thanks to those who helped fire victims
            As residents of the Fountains condominiums in Sea Bright, my husband and I want to thank the many people and agencies that came to our aid on Monday morning, Feb. 5, when we awoke to a fire of unimaginable ferocity. First, our own residents who were calm and caring for their neighbors, supporting one another and making sure everyone was safe and secure.

            No matter what your political affiliation, I urge all taxpayers to sign the state education funding reform petition available at your local town hall. This petition is asking Gov. Jon Corzine to change and reapportion state education funding, thus lowering local property taxes.

            The byline on the story "Bipartisan group forms Women's Political Caucus" in the Feb. 22 issue was incorrect. The article was written by Staff Writer Layli Whyte. The byline that ran above the story incorrectly identified the writer as Lori Anne Oliwa, who was interviewed for the article.
