Brookdale Community College hosts Foreign Film Series

The International Center of Brookdale Community College in Lincroft has announced the listing of Fall Foreign Film Series movies to be held in the MAN building, Room 105 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The community is invited to the screening of international films, all of which will be followed by a brief discussion. The pictures will highlight the contemporary human condition in regions of the Middle East. The showings are free.

+ Nov. 14, "Paradise Now" PG-13. The story of two young Palestinians as they embark upon what may be the last 48 hours of their lives. The film explores the political and emotional tensions inherent in the current Arab-Israeli conflict.

+ Nov. 28, "Kandahar" unrated. The Afghani film is a partially fictionalized documentary. It tells the story of a woman's quest to find her sister and illustrates the role of Afghan women under the 2000 Taliban regime in Afghanistan.
