Red Bank-based Phoenix Productions will host "A Tribute to Elvis" starring Rick Alviti and the Rick Alviti Showband at the Strand Theatre in Lakewood on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. Alviti, who is one of the country's foremost
Elvis Tribute artists. Tick-ets are $35, $40 and $100. The $100 ticket incl-udes a cocktail party with Alviti before the show.

Two familiar faces are behind JFK's LSD UFO, which will headline at the Second-Annual Counter Culture Arts Festival and Funky Flea Market in Point Pleasant Beach Aug. 26 from 7 p.m. to midnight. Cheri Joisne and Andre Cholmondeley, formerly of Second Nature in Red Bank, make up the experimental rock/jazz band, which will entertain at the eclectic festival, which will showcase a mix of low brow art, entertainment, film and collectibles, including belly dancing, Brazilian Capoeira, a Funky Flea Market and the Hundred-Dollar Art Show. Phoenix Productions, Red Bank-based community theater group, will present the rock musical "Hair" Sept. 9-17 at the Count Basie Theatre, 99 Monmouth St. Performances are at 8 p.m. Sept. 15 and 17 and 3 p.m. Sept. 10 and 17.
"Hair" brings rock music and the culture of the Vietnam-era to the stage; musical numbers include "Aquarius" and "Good Morning Starshine."
