The Oceanport Pirates, a 10-year-old Eastern Monmouth Sports Association Junior League boys baseball team, completed a 15-1 season by defeating the Fair Haven Red Sox by a score of 2-0 in a World Series game played on June 29.

The EMSA Junior League consists of 20 teams from Eastern Monmouth County that compete against each other during the spring.

The Pirate players are Ben Hess, Robbie Whitacre, Matthew Muh, John Teti, Kyle Lyons, Freddie Koechlin, Mason Muh, Nick Lubischer, Joey Crochet, Hunter Manning, Cole Allem and Danny Welsh. The coaches are Doug Muh and Bob Whitacre.
