Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Monmouth County Inc., Eatontown, will hold a Family Reunion Picnic to celebrate its 30th anniversary, July 15 at Wolcott Park, Eatontown.

Invited to attend the event are former participants in the program - "big" brothers and sisters, "little" brothers and sisters, staff, and board members. The event will feature a barbecue, games, live music by Still Kickin,' and activities.

'Kidz Can' fundraiser set for June 25 in Belmar

A "Kidz Can" fundraiser will be held on June 25 at Bar Anticipation in Belmar from 2-6 p.m. to benefit the Valerie Fund Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.

The Valerie Fund Children's Center has been renovated and redesigned based on the input and vision of its patients and the treatment rooms reflect the themes of surfers, boats and Big Bird, according to a press release from Monmouth Medical Center.

The fundraiser is being organized by two seventh-grade students of Holy Innocents School in Neptune, Kristen Marrucca and Ian Nugent, along with their families in memory of Scott Klenke Jr.

Tickets for the event are $12 in advance for adults and $8 for children and at the door will cost $15 for adults and $10 fro children.

Admission includes a barbecue, prizes, a D.J. and entertainment for children and live entertainment .
