The Fair Haven Track Club will host the Greater Red Bank Hershey District Track and Field Championships at the Count Basie Track in Red Bank, on Thursday, June 8, starting at 5 p.m. Running, throwing, and jumping competition will be held in three boys and girls divisions (9&10, 11&12, and 13&14). Participants will compete against other children from their local area, and have an opportunity to advance to the state and regional competitions and ultimately qualify for the North American Final Meet on Aug. 5 in Hershey, Pa. There is no fee for participation in the Hershey program. The Red Bank Parks and Recreation is co-hosting an adult co-ed basketball league on Thursday nights beginning June 15 at Count Basie Park. The game times will run from 7:30-9:30 p.m. and is open to all Red Bank residents 21 years old and over, and nonresidents are welcome. You can sign up as an individual or put together your own team, which consists of five to six players of which two must be female.
All ability levels are welcome as this league is for fun. The cost per player is $55 for Red Bank residents and $65 for nonresidents.

Ocean United Soccer Association is forming a new U12 girls soccer team to begin play in the fall. Girls born after July 31, 1994, are eligible.
