The American Stroke Association will offer "StrokeAlert!" risk assessments and screenings statewide the week of May 19-26 to commemorate American Stroke Month in May.

The assessments are free and designed to educate the public about stroke, its warning signs and risk factors, and preventative steps. Family history will be reviewed, and personal risk factors discussed.
