Two River Theater Company (TRTC) in Red Bank will present its second annual Family Day with live performances and free events for kids ages 3-13 on Saturday, June 3.

The Family Day festivities begin in the Joan and Robert Rechnitz Theater at 11 a.m. with a performance of "Pinocchio" performed by Running Rabbit Family Theater TRTC's family theater-in-residence. Tickets are $14 and are available for performances on Saturday, June 3, at 11 a.m. and Sunday, June 4, at 11 a.m.

From noon to 3 p.m., TRTC will welcome families with kids ages 3-13 for free events and performances throughout the theater.

Miss Sherri from Honeychild Music in Red Bank will lead a sing-along of classic children's songs. TRTC Director of Education, Kate Cordaro will lead sessions of theater games and workshops. Other acts slated to perform include Mamborengue, Mexican Folkloric Dance Troupe and Improv Jam.

In addition, there will be face-painting, mask-making, magic, balloon animals and raffle prizes throughout the afternoon.

At 8 p.m., TRTC will present a special Family Day concert from African Children's Choir. This joyful Grammy-nominated group has performed on national television and has shared the stage with acclaimed musicians. Aged seven to 11 years old, the African Children's Choir members come from Africa's communities that have been hit hardest by poverty and the AIDS pandemic. Their mission is to travel the world, reaching as many people as possible with their universal, uplifting message of hope.

Tickets for African Children's Choir are $18 for adults and $15 for children and are available for performances on Saturday, June 3, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 4, at 3 p.m.
