Joseph F. Walter Sr. Mr. Walter, 77, of Monmouth Beach, and Port St. Lucie, Fla., died March 30 in Port St. Lucie. Born in Bridgeport, Conn., he resided in Orange, prior to moving to Monmouth Beach. He owned and operated Morgan Marina, Sayreville, the past 46 years, and Keypunch Relief, a data processing company. Prior to that, he owned and operated several small businesses, and worked at Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Newark. He served with the Army Reserve for four years, and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He enjoyed travel, and boating. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Jo Ann Walter Jr. of Parlin, and Michael and Ellen Walter of Morgan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Peter Schultz of Parlin, and Mary Pat and Mark Salinas of Bordentown; a brother, Edward Walter of Montvale; and eight grandchildren. A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated at Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach. Entombment was at Woodbine Cemetery Mausoleum, Oceanport. Jacqulyn Bellas Miss Bellas, 51, of Eatontown, died April 8 at Claremont Center, Point Pleasant. Born in Virginia, she resided in Howell, prior to moving to Eatontown. She is survived by her father, William; three brothers, William and Ira Bellas, and David Mandeville; and a sister, Carol Bellas. A memorial service was held at First Baptist Church, Point Pleasant. Arrangements were by Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan. Thomas J. Keenan Sr. Mr. Keenan, 58, of Little Egg Harbor, died April 18 at home. Born in New York City, he relocated to Long Branch in 1974, prior to moving to Little Egg Harbor. He was a member of the Lions Club, Long Branch, Lumbersmen Association, and The National Railroaders Association. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Marie. He is survived by his wife, Donna Keenan of Little Egg Harbor; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas J. and Shana Keenan of Little Egg Harbor; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tina and Heath Nelson, and Colleen Keenan, all of Little Egg Harbor; two sisters, Patricia Keenan of Citrius Heights, Calif., and Paulette Keenan of Keyport; a brother-in-law, John Netterwald; a grandson; and three nephews. Arrangements were by Wood Funeral Home Inc., Tuckerton. Memorial donations may be made to Southern Ocean Home Health Hospice, 1140 Route 72, West Manahawkin 08050.
Anthony L. Bersani Mr. Bersani, 47, of East Brunswick, died April 17 in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. He began his career as a stringer/freelance reporter for the Associated Press. He worked for the Atlantic City Press and the Asbury Park Press before being named managing editor of The Home News (now Home News Tribune). He later worked for Dow Jones, South Brunswick, before returning to the Associated Press as project manager, where he worked for the past three and one-half years. He was predeceased by his father, Angelo C. Bersani. Surviving are his wife, Stacey McDonnell Bersani; a daughter, Angela Bersani, at home; his mother, Pauline Bersani of Elk Township; a brother, Angelo C. Bersani Jr. of Orlando, Fla.; and a sister, Carolyn Ferrucci of Franklin Township, Gloucester County. A Mass was held April 20 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment followed in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation, 333 Mamaroneck Ave., No. 492, White Plains, NY 10605.
