A 1987 graduate of the university, Giordano is currently executive vice president and chief financial officer at Central Jersey Bank. ***** The Monmouth County Retired Educators Association is sponsoring a bus trip to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark on June 8. The purpose of the program was to educate parents, teachers, students, law enforcement officials, community leaders and others on the increasing gang presence in Monmouth County, according to a press release from the Prosecutor's Office. ***** Mikey Mania, a fundraiser to help a local child with quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy, will be held at the Headliner, Route 35 in Neptune on April 27. Doors open at 7 p.m. and there is a $10 cover. The event will include a gift auction and live music by Hollander and Chik-A-Boom. Call (732) 493-3417 for directions or information. ***** The April 28 meeting of the Fort Monmouth Reuse Committee (FMRC) has been postponed until Monday, May 8, at 2 p.m. at the Eatontown Borough Hall, 47 Broad St. A major portion of that meeting will be dedicated to a presentation by graduate students from University of Pennsylvania's land use and planning program on possible new uses of Fort Monmouth's property. The meeting, to be held in the council chambers on the second floor of the borough hall, is open to the public. ***** Monmouth University's Epsilon Omicron Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity received three awards at Sigma Tau Gamma's regional conclave. Those awards, the Edward H. McCune Distinguished Chapter Award, The Ellis Chapter Scholarship Award, and the Hembre Leadership Award were presented to Epsilon Omicron at the February regional conclave.
